Discipline
No sin is too large to forgive and no sin is too small to ignore. At times, students make mistakes and use poor judgment. When they do, at SFCA, they receive prompt and fair correction and instruction, which is always carried out with love, grace, forgiveness and timely helpful communication with parents.
Dress
The dress policy of SFCA is intended to provide parameters that help students balance expressions of individuality with obligation and responsibility to others. A collared shirt, a belt, or a certain hair style is not “spiritual” in and of itself. What we wear, however, reveals much about our thoughts of ourselves and our attitudes toward others. It is our aim to foster a school environment of respect, intentionality and commitment to others. For these reasons, SFCA has developed a specific dress code that emphasizes modesty, neatness, and cleanliness.
An overview of the dress policy includes the following parameters. Girls may wear dress pants, casual pants (i.e., Dockers, corduroys, etc.), dresses or skirts; blue jeans are not permitted. Girls’ shirts are to be neat, clean, and modest. Boys may wear dress pants or casual pants (i.e., Dockers, corduroys, etc.); blue jeans are not permitted. Boys’ shirts will have collars and will be buttoned with the exception of the top button. Polo type collared shirts are permitted. Please refer to the SFCA Student Handbook for a complete description of the dress policy.
